Sanexen is seeking a Solids Control Technicians for its Tacoma offices.
Job Description
We are seeking Solids Control Technicians to join our team. Reporting to the Site Supervisor and Project Manager, candidates will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of specialized equipment including centrifuges, dredges, pumps, and related support systems. This role supports both site mobilization/demobilization and general operational duties while upholding strict safety and environmental standards. We are seeking candidates who are able to travel extensively across the United States, as our projects are located nationwide.
Main responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain centrifuges, dredges, digester, pumps, and dewatering systems.
- Adjust operating parameters to ensure optimal production (e.g., sludge intake, polymer dosage, cake dryness).
- Monitor flow rates, pressures, and equipment performance, adjusting as needed.
- Assist in the mobilization and demobilization of equipment at remote job sites.
- Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, fueling, and minor repairs.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and escalate major issues to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Assist with setup of dewatering systems, power cables, crane operations, and material handling.
- Support general labor and housekeeping duties as directed by the Supervisor or Project Manager.
- Ensure regular communication with Shift supervisor related to requirements, project specifications, equipment issue, etc.
- Maintain clean and organized work sites and equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in hazard assessments, safety meetings, incident and near-miss reporting.
Qualifications required
Sought Profile
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in solids control, dredging, or dewatering operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working with heavy equipment and process systems.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a safety-first mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work on 3–5 week rotational schedules.
- Physically capable of performing demanding tasks in outdoor and remote work environments
Assets
- Valid safety training certificates.
- Experience operating front-end loaders, wheel loaders, or telehandlers.
Proficiency in French and English:
