MELCC-approved Facilities
The facilities operated or used by Sanexen have been approved by the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCC) to receive soils and residual materials. Sanexen is able to provide copies of remedial plans, approvals, or other disposal certificates to meet your requirements.

CRS | Disposal site

Since 2018, Sanexen has been operating a disposal site as part of the Landreville Quarry (Carrière Rive-Sud) environmental remediation in Boucherville. The CRS site is capable of receiving several types of soils, concrete, brick, rock, and clay.

Soils and Materials Accepted*

  • Soils   Range below A or A-B, no contaminant restriction
  • Concrete (reinforced or no)  Non-contaminated, diameter greater than 30 cm 
  • Brick   Non‑contaminated
  • Rock  Non‑contaminated      

*Subject to analytical certificate verification


Enviromental Remediation
In 2015, the environmental remediation plan for the former Landreville Quarry in Boucherville was approved by the MELCC. The work related to this plan, since optimized, began in spring 2018.

Sol+ | Indoor soil treatment centre

Sol+  |  Montreal-East

Since 2016, Sanexen has been operating an indoor soil treatment centre in Montréal-East. This facility, unique in Canada, treats soils using various techniques recognized by the MELCC such as biodegradation, volatilization and bioventilation. The SOL+ facility is capable of managing several types of contaminants, such as PH (C10-50), PAH and MAH.

  • PH (C10-50)    No limit
  • Light PAH   No limit
  • Heavy PAH     < C
  • MAH    No limit
  • Metals    < C  (if related to organic contamination)

Emergency Response Services
SOL+ can also receive non-characterized soils (< 50 m³) in the event of an accidental spill, or in cases of fortuitous discovery during excavation. SOL+ will sample the soils upon reception, and either treat or dispose of them, based on the analytical results.
