Sanexen is looking for a Designer draftsman for its Brossard office.
Job description
As part of our growth across Canada, we are looking for a Draftsman/Designer to strengthen our engineering team and provide structuring technical support to project teams. Reporting to a team of dynamic professionals, the successful candidate will participate in the design of industrial processes, the production of technical drawings in CAD/CAM, risk analyses, field visits and the follow-up of workshop and site work. He/she will also contribute to the preparation of technical documents, compliance with quality standards and the development of innovative solutions in support of our industrial and environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our engineers to design innovative, high-performance industrial processes.
- Contribute to risk analyses (FMEA, HAZOP) to optimize the safety and efficiency of our facilities.
- Produce accurate, professional drawings using CAD/CAM software.
- Conduct site visits to document existing processes and update construction plans.
- Supervise work in the workshop and on construction sites, ensure compliance with plans and produce “as-built” drawings.
- Support the CAD team in developing technical drawings for environmental projects.
- Participate in the drafting of standard operating procedures (SOPs) that will guide the operation and maintenance of our processes.
- Contribute to the technical inventory of our industrial process components.
- Respect and maintain our quality standards: filing, graphic presentation, document accuracy.
Qualifications required
Sought Profile
- Diploma of vocational studies or college diploma in computer-aided drafting (CAD)
- At least 3 years’ experience as a design draftsman
- Excellent command of drawing software: SolidWorks, Visio, Plant 3D and Civil 3D (AutoCAD)
- Good command of the Office 365 environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Available to travel to job sites and/or subcontractors throughout Quebec
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Personal vehicle for work-related travel
- Good command of written and spoken French
- Very good team spirit

- ASP Construction certification
