Sanexen is seeking a Planner for its Brossard offices.

Job Description

Reporting to Christine Brassard in the Major Projects team, the Scheduler plays a crucial role in the operational and financial success of projects. This position involves rigorous control of deadlines, both in the bidding and execution phases. The incumbent acts as a strategic collaborator with operations and estimating teams to identify risks, propose corrective measures and document the contractual impacts of scope changes.

  • Project monitoring and control: Ensure weekly or fortnightly schedule updates, identify discrepancies and analyze the financial impact of delays.
  • Bid phase planning: Develop initial schedules (Baseline) in collaboration with the estimating team and create templates by project type.
  • Performance and reporting: Produce progress reports, performance indicators and analyze global risks (financial, operational and contractual).
  • Change management and claims: Help prepare change orders, document delays and identify situations that could lead to contractual claims.

Sought Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in project planning.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in administration or related discipline.
  • Software skills: Advanced mastery of MS Project, Primavera (or equivalent) and PowerBI.
  • Technical expertise: Strong skills in developing and analyzing complex schedules.
  • Languages: Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) required for communication with local and international partners.
  • Skills: Rigor, attention to detail, analytical skills, proactivity and excellent communication skills.

Assets

  • Specialization: Post-baccalaureate training or specialization in project management.
  • Impact analysis: Demonstrated ability to link schedule deadlines to costs and contractual issues.
