Contracts awarded by the city of Montreal

andrew-welch-40121_2The city of Montreal has awarded Sanexen Environmental Services Inc. 4 contracts, totalling 20 km (12.4 miles), for the rehabilitation of drinking water mains using a cured-in-place trenchless technology. The Aqua-Pipe® structural liner, which was developed by Sanexen, will be used to eliminate leaks and extend by more than 50 years the service life of the City’s water distribution network.
The work that will be carried out is designed to rehabilitate several sections of pipe throughout the many Boroughs of Montreal, and is slated for completion by the end of September.

Significant financial assistance for the Niedner expansion project

The Government of Canada underlines the growth and creation of jobs resulting from the investments of Sanexen and Niedner in their woven hose and Aqua-Pipe structural liner manufacturing plant.


Tuesday, the Government of Canada, through the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau and the Honourable Navdeep Bains, issued a press release underlining the financial assistance provided by Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions as part of the major expansion and modernization work recently completed by Sanexen at its hose and Aqua-Pipe structural liner fabrication plant, Niedner.

The expansion of Niedner’s facility, located in Coaticook, is now completed.

One of the most important investments in the textile sector is now completed.

After three years of hard work and more than 12 million, the expansion of Niedner’ s facility, located in Coaticook, property of Sanexen Service Environnementaux is now completed.

On May 2nd, inauguration will be held in the presence of many distinguished guests and dignitaries to highlight company’s confidence into premium quality labor and support offered by the community.

Established in Coaticook for over 100 years, Niedner have grown significantly over the past nine years since Sanexen acquisition.[...] With a whole new range of products, especially the Aqua-Pipe MD liner who allows trenchless rehabilitation of drinking water mains, Niedner’s plant needed not only to double their footprint but also acquire new advanced equipment.

In order to maintain production, construction work occurred over a period of three years and today, we are very proud to have  a state of the art facility that ensure work to more than 125 devoted employees.

This investment will provide a unique positioning in the woven hose industry for potable water, shale gas and fire protection.
